History Long time performers Krista Blondin and Maxine Young met in 1996 when working as freelance singers for a Toronto based Pop/Rock band. Despite being involved with the same project, they never sang for the group on the same night. Always very fond of each other's styles, the two agreed and said, "one day we just have to do a show together"! That day finally came when, one spring without even planning it, they coincidently became next-door neighbors! There was no putting it off anymore and the time was right, so by summer of 2007 they quickly began performing as a duo around the GTA. With Maxine Young on acoustic guitar and Lead Vocals and Krista Blondin on Lead vocals and light percussion, the two have created a beautiful sound with a fun, intimate atmosphere that completely captures their audiences attention. Their music is a mix of Pop, Rock, Country and Folk covers with a strong emphasis on current music and harmony driven numbers. Both are very versatile in their vocal range the saying "she's a little bit country - and she's a little bit rock n'roll" is often a term to describe the combo. They also create an "in your living room vibe" through set decoration and lighting to give the audience a feeling of involvement and comfort. Maxine Young, a born East-coaster from Newfoundland has been performing with her guitar and voice in clubs since she was a teenager. She has performed extensively the pub circuit in Toronto as well as events as large as Queens Park and The Mississauga Living Arts centre. She has lent her voice to various recordings including artists in Nashville. Krista Blondin a Port Credit, Mississauga Native has been singing and operating her own musical acts performing in clubs, hotels and festivals for over a decade. She has performed at venues as large as The CNE and CBC Television. Her voice has been lent to radio and television commercials and various independent bands as a backing vocalist.
